Taskforce to conduct study on expeditions
Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism has formed a 15-member taskforce to explore possibilities of opening and promoting Nepal's lesser known mountains and trails for expeditions and trekking. The taskforce is headed by Laxman Bhattarai, spokesperson and joint secretary at the ministry. The taskforce will also study the current procedure of handling expeditions and recommend ways to make it more competitive than the neighboring countries'.
