Nagarkot Dhulikhel Trekking is specially design for those people who want to enjoy hiking, trekking and adventure tour in and around Kathmandu valley. This hiking trail composes of mid forest, villages and beautiful scenic view of sunrise, sunset and mountain range, together with sightseeing tour in Kathmandu valley.
Hiking route (Kathmandu - Sundarijal - Chisapani Hiking - Nagarkot Hiking - Dhulikhel Hiking - Namo Buddha - Panauti - Kathmandu)
Nagarkot Dhulikhel Trekking is designed to create the feeling of being close to the nature and village cultures. This hiking trail gets you to the rural Nepal offering awesome, inspiring, majestic and beauty of dramatic mountain views.
We will visit 4 different villages. First village is the Chisapani where one will experience a real taste of nature, being away from the hustle and bustle of city. One will also be able to interact with gentle and genuine local people, which adds another dimension to your Himalayan experience.
Second village is the Nagarkot where early sunrise view is the most amazing and mesmerizing view. Third village is the Dhulikhel, where we enjoy walking along the unexplored trails and visiting local temples, which can be very heart warming and enriching experience.
Namobuddha, the fourth village to visit to explore stupas and shrines is definitely worthed. Visits to temples will create a spiritual and peaceful feeling and may be an inspiration for whatever reason you have chosen to visit.

Arrive Kathmandu

Our representatives will welcome you and transfer to the hotel. Evening meeting with the tour leader. Shopping around thamel for the personal gears required for your hiking.
Overnight at Kathmandu
Kathmandu - Sundarijal - Chisapani
(Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner)
Hiking time: 5 hours
Maximum height: 2300m/7540ft
After breakfast, we drive to Sundarijal [about 1 hour]. The trail will bring us through Shivapuri conservation area, one of the youngest National park of the country. After 4 hours of ascend we will reach Chisapani with a height of 2300m (a small pas on this route). The trails descends down with the view of langtang range mountains like Lakpa Dorje, Sisa pangma, Langtang, Ganesh Himal and many more.

Hiking from Chisapani - Nagarkot

Maximum Height: 2175m/7131ft
We will be passing through a breathtaking landscape. The trail is very simple with country side on almost all the places. We will find many interesting flora & fauna on this trail. Nagarkot is considered as one of the leading hill destination, for the panaromic view of the Himalayas, sunrise & sunset.

Hiking from Nagarkot - Dhulikhel

Maximum Height: 1440m/4721ft
The trails ascends down from nagarkot along dense pine forest. After 1 hour walk, we can see the valley of Dolalghat, where huge rivers of Nepal meet and rush towards the lower belt of Nepal. Now we will have very smooth walk along the country side, with a panromic view of mountains, small towns, valley, green farm. Finally with a climb of few steps on right turn will send us to Dhulikhel.

Hiking from Dhulikhel - Namo Buddha - Panauti

Hiking Time: 4 hours
An easy walk for an hour, through the pine & rhododendron forest leads us to Namo Buddha. Namo buddha, better know by Tibetans as Tag-mo Lu-jin. This means the place where the Buddha offered his body to the hungry mother tigress. It is renowned for Shakyamuni's act of compassion upon encountering a hungry mother tigress he offered her his body so that she could feed her cubs. There are a couple monasteries and one ancient stupa erected nearby in which one can make offerings, pray, and light butter lamps. After our visit to Namobuddha we will walk down to Panauti, an old city preserving the old historical monument.
Back to Kathmandu.
Kathmandu Sightseeing tour

Early mornig drive to domestic airport for mountain flight, back to the hotel for breakfast. Full Day sightseeing in Kathmandu (Kathmandu durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath & Pashupatinath) and Nepalese cultural program with farewell dinner in the evening.
Final Departure

Transfer to International airport for onward destination.
