TAAN in Panchpokhari exploration trek
A team of Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) along with a number of organizations embarked on a 7-day exploration trek to Panchpokari area in Sindhupalchowk district on 4 June. Nepal Tourism Board, UNDP/MEDEP and Sindhupalchowk-Panchpokhari Tourism Development Committee (SPTDC) are the other partners in the exploration trek.
TAAN 2nd Vice-President Mahendra Singh Thapa is leading the team which has representations from TAAN and its general members, NTB, UNDP/MEDEP and SPTDC. After completing the trip, the team will organize a day-long workshop at district headquarters Chautara to seek local people’s inputs for the trek. The team will also make a documentary and other promotional collaterals to promote tourism in the Panchpokhari area.
