KATHMANDU: Nepal and Indonesia decided to work together for the promotion of tourism. Both countries can work together in the sector, said Zet Mirzal Zainuddin, Indonesian ambassador to Nepal in a meeting with Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) officials here today.
Indonesia is simplifying visa procedure for the Nepalis to expand business relations. “Visa to Nepalis will be issued from here in near future,” he said. He assured Nepali entrepreneurs of his support for export promotion in Indonesia. Nepali Pashmina has a huge potential in the Indonesian market, he said.
NCC president Surendra Bir Malakar requested Zainuddin to help in tourism, export and Indonesian foreign direct investment to Nepal. He asked to start Jakarta-Kathmandu direct flight to make Nepal Tourism Year 2011 a grand success. Honorary Consulate of Indonesia, Chandra Prasad Dhakal requested Nepali entrepreneurs to take part in the Trade Expo Indonesia. The expo is going to be held on October 13-17. Other NCC officials also expressed their desire to boost bilateral relationship between the two countries. Nepal and Indonesia has diplomatic relationship for four decades.
