According to reports, Buddha Air will start operating its flights between Pokhara and Lucknow from March 2010. The airline will use its current fleet of ATR-42 for the Lucknow flight. The airline is mainly targeting Indian pilgrims bound for Muktinath.

Jet Airways, an Indian air company, is going to start its daily service between Mumbai, the economic capital of India and Kathmandu from November 17, 2009, according to the airline.

Air Arabia increased its weekly flights to 11 from November 10, 2009. The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) issued its permit to the airline to operate 11 flights a week effective from October 25.
